Aikido of Livermore - Shinrei Dojo has been in operation continuously since 1989. We offer instruction in the Japanese arts of Aikido and Shinkendo. Our chief instructor, Jim Alvarez Sensei as well as all the assistant instructors are dedicated to offering the very best instruction in these two martial arts offering personal attention to each student.

Our classes for beginners in Aikido & Shinkendo are intended to give you a taste of what each art is about. You will be introduced to the basics of each art in an atmosphere designed specifically for beginners, no martial arts experience is necessary. Nothing is expected of you other than a willingness to learn, a desire to explore something new and regular attendance to the class.

We offer these introductory classes and our Martial Arts for Kids program through the Livermore Area Recreation & Parks District (LARPD). Please visit their website to register.
